How to Prepare Tempeh: A Basic Meat Substitute Recipe

- 8 ounces tempeh
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Place the tempeh slab and vegetable broth in a small pan and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Cover and cook for 10 minutes and then drain the tempeh.
Cut the tempeh into cubes and then add them back into the pan along with the coconut oil. Brown each side over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper.
