This black ink colored smoothie is nothing to shy away from. It's brimming with detoxifying properties, antioxidants, electrolytes, and striking good looks!
Servings 1large serving or 2 small servings
Ingredients
1young thai coconutcoconut water and meat
1 tablespoonalmond butter
1 cupfrozen blueberries
½frozen banana
1 teaspoonactivated charcoal powderoptional
Instructions
Pour coconut water into blender then scrape coconut meat from coconut and add to blender.
Add the remaining ingredients and blender until smooth. Enjoy!
Caveat: Charcoal can bind to medications a person needs--making them ineffective. Anyone taking medication do so at least 3 hours apart from drinking something with charcoal in it.
The same goes for nutrients. Activated charcoal may also soak up the vitamins from food. Feel free to omit the charcoal to get the full health benefits from the other ingredients. I only used it for the cool color:)
