Lava Cleanse - Activated Charcoal Smoothie

This black ink colored smoothie is nothing to shy away from. It's brimming with detoxifying properties, antioxidants, electrolytes, and striking good looks!
Servings 1 large serving or 2 small servings

Ingredients

  • 1 young thai coconut coconut water and meat
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • ½ frozen banana
  • 1 teaspoon activated charcoal powder optional

Instructions

  • Pour coconut water into blender then scrape coconut meat from coconut and add to blender.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and blender until smooth. Enjoy!
  • Caveat: Charcoal can bind to medications a person needs--making them ineffective. Anyone taking medication do so at least 3 hours apart from drinking something with charcoal in it. The same goes for nutrients. Activated charcoal may also soak up the vitamins from food. Feel free to omit the charcoal to get the full health benefits from the other ingredients. I only used it for the cool color:)
