Simply moving to a whole-foods diet and adding one or two fruit and vegetable juices to your daily routine will go a long way toward flushing your systems and tissues.
Below are some juice (and smoothie) combinations and the organs they target. Combine three or four fruits and/or vegetables with ½ teaspoon of dried herb (or tincture) in a juice (or smoothie) and vary the combinations each time. Use these detoxifying juices in a daily juicing program.
Kidney Flush:
Fruits- Apple, Cranberry, Grape, Lemon, Melon, Papaya, Strawberry, Watermelon
Vegetables- Asparagus, Beetroot and Greens, Cabbage, Celery, Cucumber
Herbs- Dandelion Root, Corn Silk
Liver Cleanse:
Fruits- Apple, Grape, Lemon, Lime, Orange, Papaya, Pear
Vegetables- Beetroot and Greens, Carrot, Celery, Endive, Kale, Kohlrabi, Parsnip, Spinach, Tomato, Turnip Root and Greens, Wheatgrass
Herbs- Burdock root, Dandelion Root and Leaves, Milk thistle, Yellow Dock Root
Bladder Support:
Fruits- Cranberry, Melon, Pear, Watermelon
Vegetables- Beetroot and Greens, Cabbage, Carrot, Parsnip, Tomato, Turnip and Greens, Wheatgrass
Herbs- Dandelion Leaves, Purslane, Fenugreek
Constipation Support:
Fruits- Apple, Blueberry, Citrus Fruit, Elderberry, Melon, Papaya, Peach, Pear, Strawberry, Watermelon

Fluid Retention Support:

Intestinal Cleanse:

Skin and Lymph System Cleanse:

What purpose do the herbs serve? Are they necessary?
While adding the herbs mentioned above are not mandatory, they do boost the detoxifying and cleansing effects of your juices. You can choose to add the herbs to juices or plain water.
Dandelion Root: Cleanses the liver and blood; stimulates bile secretion; works as a laxative
Dandelion Leaves: Supports the liver, gallbladder, kidney
Corn Silk: A diuretic that helps flush the kidneys
Burdock Root: Supports the liver, lymph glands, and digestive system; facilitates cleansing by stimulating urine and sweat
Milk Thistle: Helps strengthen liver cells and bile secretion
Fenugreek: Helps maintain liver and kidney health; lowers inflammation; helps with appetite control
Yellow Dock: Benefits the digestive tract, liver, and skin as well as inflamed nasal passages; also used for skin conditions associated with poor digestion, poor liver function or “toxicity”
Purslane: Great for skin, urinary and digestive systems; contains antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acids, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and carotene
Licorice Root: A laxative that aids in elimination waste
Psyllium Seeds: Relieves constipation; can lower blood sugar levels; boosts satiety
Parsley: Helps fight inflammation; improves immune function
