This power smoothie is flavored with bananas for the sweet creamy factor, blueberries for a little sweetness, color, and boost of antioxidants, nut butter for richness, and cardamom to give it some oomph. Top things off with pumpkin seeds and a boost of protein powder and we’ve go ourselves on heck-of-a post-strength training recovery smoothie. Yes!

Blueberry Pie Power Smoothie | Post-Strength Training
Ingredients
- 1 large banana preferrably frozen
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 2 tablespoons nut butter (your choice) I used almond butter
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
- 1 tablespoon vegan protein powder (your choice)
- ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 cup almond milk (unsweetened) or use nut milk of choice
Instructions
- Give banana a rough chop and add it to the blender along with the rest of the ingredients.
- Blend on high speed until smooth. If too thick, add more nut milk. If too runny, add more frozen banana and/or frozen blueberries.
- Taste. Adjust flavor to your liking, if needed.
- Pour into 2 medium-sized glasses and serve, or store in a large airtight glass bottle to carry along with you in your gym bag.
