Gogi, Mango, Turmeric Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie

Gogi berries combined with juicy orange and carrot juice makes for a bright, eye-catching smoothie packed with Vitamin C and betacarotene for the immune system.

Fun Fact: Goji Berries have been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years and are an excellent source of antioxidants.

This smoothie has a very unique sweetness. It’s got a variety of fruity tones with the spicy kick from the fresh ginger, a touch of turmeric, and black pepper. These ingredients also add some awesome inflammatory properties. Yes!

Goji, Mango, Turmeric Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie

Gogi berries combined with juicy orange and carrot juice makes for a bright, eye-catching smoothie packed with Vitamin C and betacarotene for the immune system.

Servings 2 people

Ingredients

  • 1 orange peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 ripe mango (stone removed) Fresh or Frozen (thawed)--Approx 1 cup of mango flesh
  • ⅓ cup dried gogi berries
  • ½-1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger or ¼-1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 cup fresh carrot juice (4-5 carrots)
  • pinch black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons black chia seeds

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in blender (except chia seeds). Blend on high speed until smooth. Taste and adjust "spiciness" to your liking by adding more ginger if necessary.
  • Pour into two medium sized glasses. Stir in chia seeds and serve chilled.
